Yvonne T. Jackson, a member of the Senior Executive Service, is the Deputy Program Executive Officer for Combat and Mission Support, Office of the Assistant Secretary of the Air Force for Acquisition, Washington, D.C. She assists the PEO in leading the acquisition of services for the Air Force and is responsible for managing and overseeing more than $100 billion in existing and planned contracts awarded by commands across the Air Force. She supports the oversight and management responsibilities for acquisition planning as well as the competitive selection process and the execution of performance-based acquisition, and ensures that proper management controls are in place throughout the performance period of the service.

Ms. Jackson began her career as an intern with the Department of the Navy at the Naval Facilities Engineering Command in 1986. She transferred to the Department of the Army where she served in a number of positions of increasing responsibility at the U. S. Army Missile Command. These positions included senior engineer, assistant Program Manager for Survivability for the Javelin Weapon System, and assistant PEO for Survivability and Advanced Technology for the PEO Tactical Missiles. In 1998, Ms. Jackson was selected by the Acquisition Program Manager's Board as the Product Manager for the U.S. Army Small Computer Program at Fort Monmouth, N.J. She was one of the first civilians "board selected" to a product manager position. Ms. Jackson served on the Headquarters U.S. Army staff in the Office of the Assistant Secretary of the Army in a number of positions from senior acquisition management specialist to acting Director of Acquisition and Industrial Base Policy. She has also been the assistant to the Director for Enterprise Development in the Office of the Under Secretary of Defense for Acquisition Technology and Logistics.

Ms. Jackson joined the Headquarters U.S. Air Force in July 2005 as the Assistant PEO for Combat and Mission Support. She also served as the special assistant for Energy Conservation to the Under Secretary of the Air Force prior to her appointment to the Senior Executive Service. Ms. Jackson assumed her current position in August 2006.
